Anyhow, I've been looking at smart watches for a while now and finally settled on this. It has been this price before, recently and may have been even cheaper in the past. But right now, this is as cheap as I can find one for. Hope I'm right.

*edit* turns out that these watches may be supplied "new" but in an opened box both from amazon and scan direct. So as long as the prices are cheaper on scan, I would suggest buying from them direct to save a few quid.
on the Scan website:

I have one of these and a steel bracelet improves the appearance no end. And it's just had an update to Android Watch 2.0.

How much is the steel strap? Also is this better than a huawei watch?

Yes, it's not the prettiest. I liked the huawei classic. I'm a fan of huawei since the p6 phone tbh (though it was impossible to repair). However, I looked at it yesterday and it just felt a little plasticky. Most of the bad comments about this watch is about the size, but I've measured my wrist and I think I can just about pull it off! This watch had a few more features than the huawei classic reading some compare websites.

Tom6195 - you can buy a 22mm steel strap on amazon for like 11 or 12 pounds. Supposedly easy to fit.
