Completely different technology. This is OLED. Hisense is Smart LED. Smart LED is basically glorified LCD just with per pixel backlighting. You're still hampered by LCD panel technology such as poor contrast ratio and viewing angles. OLED is far superior when it comes to picture quality. This is easily one of the best TVs for the money around right now. The only set in my opinion that comes close is the Samsung KS models but with that you're still going to fall foul of the trappings of LCD technology where true blacks are impossible with some dimwitted backlight response. Side by side the OLED55B6V just looks better. Blacks are actually black (because the OLEDs are actually turned off) whites are truly white (once calibrated, it does have a tendency to go towards blue spectrum on the colour temperature out of the box, but it's easily fixed).
Also 3D is dead. Fewer and fewer TVs are supporting it. It's only a matter of time before it disappears back into obscurity.
Out of Stock currently at JL. Was going to go the same route. C6 is available at Currys but £1699 compared to the B6's £1599. Do RS pricematch discount codes?

E6v seems to remain stubbornly high - £2k. With this under £1,500 and no particular interest in 3D, is the extra £500 worth it?
the e6 has came down £200 in the last couple of weeks at £100 a time. can't see it dropping much further imo. at £1850 with code for the e6 is a very good price

Sorry, omitted code - difference is 3D, integral sound bar and picture on glass. Also different "chip". Any informed views?
