no, this will just tell the person pinching your phone how close the person with your keys is.

I've had a couple of similar cheap key finders like this, and all ended up in the bin. you'll be forever having to pair them with your phone.
I've now got the Lapa, and it's great. It just works.

Ignore that review. It was a complaint about Bluetooth, and not really a valid argument. The product is what it is.
