Drastically inferior you say? Please enlighten me to these drastic margins of inferiority.
This is available with 6gb ram and 128gb storage. I could argue the S8 is drastically inferior to this.
Having had the HTC M7 for two years and then the S6 for two years ..... I can honestly say I miss the HTC

I have just given my new S8 to my daughter and retained my HTC 10. As beautiful as the S8 was the fingerprint scanner is in a hopeless position and the retina scanner unreliable, the battery life is poor too (probably why out of the box it's set to low resolution). Plus Samsung have messed around with Android to much.
The squeeze thing likely is a gimmick but at least the fingerprint scanner is in an accessible place and the sound will be class like HTC always are.

Apple did it, that's all there is to it with HTC.
It's a nice looking phone, but it's still a HTC and they haven't made a competitively good phone since the M8 and even that wasn't all it could be.

Anyone actually get this discount to work? Doesn't let me register
Bluetooth earphones are really cheap now also QC3.0 means it charges faster so plugging in a charger and earphones in at the same time isnt really an issue

but then you have to charge the headphones too. life was simpler in the 3.5mm jack days

Looks decent, no 3.5mm but includes a 3.5mm to USBc adapter. I fancy going back to htc since I had the m7, little much 584 for a phone though for me maybe when it's middle 3's

HTC Sense is a pain. Any time I access anything, Sense wants in on the act, and you can't shut it off, just have to keep saying no. Otherwise, I'm more than happy with my HTC 10, not worth going to this new phone for me.

I just click Yes or allow and it never asks again. Sense is only asking so it can integrate the feature or app in question into sense itself for widgets etc. Works wonderfully for me.

Get a Samsung?
Is anyone buying into this squeezy phone business? Seems like a rubbish gimmick to me.

That's odd.
I got an email to confirm email address etc but doesn't let me log in it says the email address isn't valid. When I click that link it says "stale login request"
