As much as I love Shopto, they send Collectors/Limited editions in large jiffy bags so unless your ok with a damaged box the go for it

And that's if the jiffy bag ever turns up. Their stuff goes missing more than it arrives, in my experience.

I've always wondered about comments like this: is what you've said actually true or just the emotional impression that your mind has formed? I've looked at my Shopto purchase history and it currently stands at 32 orders - not one of which has ever failed to arrive (or indeed arrived late).
I'm not saying that there have never been any issues with Shopto over the course of their history but what numbers are you playing with here? How many orders have you placed and how many have not arrived?
Again, I'm not saying that you're wrong or misguided, I'm just trying to get a feel for the numbers involved in a comment like this. It's curiosity, really; I've no love/loyalty for Shopto per se.

I've ordered a lot from them for many years and never had anything go missing or turn up damaged, not saying it doesn't happen though.

Seems to still be a lot of these 'Limited' editions around. Good price though all the same!

I have always had love for shopto. Most of the time they are the cheapest and PRE orders always arrive early and limited box edition have always arrived in a box for me.
This set is very big so would have to be a very big jiffy for that lol

I used to swear by Shopto but I had some awful experiences with them. Had a couple of orders go missing, but the worst one I had was I ordered the R2D2 Xbox 360 console and they'd sent my order to an old address of mine that hadn't been used on Shopto in about three years. Order confirmation and the despatch email had the correct address on there, which was the address my card was registered to, but it still somehow got sent to a completely wrong address.
They refused to take any blame for it and after weeks of hassling them, they sent me some XXL promo tshirts as a gesture of goodwill (I'm a medium), but they made it clear it was not as an apology or accepting any blame. Never used them since

I rarely use them, and to be honest I can't see my extended order history, because I deleted my old account with them, and I no longer have access to that email account. I deleted the account when they were hacked / leaked whatever credit card numbers about 10 years ago, and my account was compromised.
I can remember specifically two orders disappearing from back then.
I recently re-signed up because they were the only place with Persona 5 in stock, and I never received the item. Once I get my refund I'll be closing my account again
It really bugs me that they post via a Royal Mail method that gives you delivery confirmation (not tracked details), but they refuse to use it to prove (or otherwise) that your parcel hasn't been delivered, and instead make you wait until Royal Mail accept that it's "lost".

It's always facinating that one person can have such rotten form out of a company when another (i.e. me) can not have a single blip of a problem. Thanks for the reply, though; I realise that you could quite equally have told me to mind my own business. It has definitely helped shape my opinion of Shopto so I appreciate your time.
