Freeview play makes catch up TV easy. Get programmes from BBC iPlayer, ITV hub, All 4 and Demand 5, as well as over 60 TV channels and 12 HD channels. I have the 50" version and yes its an 8 bit panel but picture quality is fine. Obviously it helps having a decent source to watch from. Don't have sky q or bt sports so not sure what their 4k quality is like but normal hd upscales fine and even sd content is watchable.
The only issue is that the firefox os it uses is end of life so no more new applications but all the catchup/streaming apps are there and work fine, especially Netflix since it has the dedicated button on the remote.
Viewing angles aren't great though. I'll keep mine for a year or two and then upgrade.
