Don't buy a fire tablet then? Or pay another tenner to have the ad free version.

I like the Fire tablets, they're loud, good screens, not laggy. However I don't like that they are covered in Amazon adverts/suggestions.

Because you'll only buy it if someone tells you this is a special price?
People shouldn't judge a good deal on how much 'off' it is but how much you're actually paying for something and is that something worth it.

Owww my eyes, 189ppi.
Only joking, my 8 inch Lenovo is the same and is fine for watching Netflix or Amazon etc. Good price I guess although why it has a huge amount of wasted space round the outside I don't know, makes it bigger than it needs to be.

Not for the uninitiated or the faint hearted. I found before add free versions were available at same price at Argos at same price Amazon was selling directly the one with ads .

Heat added. although I can't figure out why Amazon refuse to use 1080p screens in their tablets

Better performance as less work for the GPU, better battery life and it also allows the units to be sold at a more competitive price. For the slight difference you'd notice in image quality on a small screen and the fact that most people don't watch 1080p media on tablets, 720p is the better option
