I posted a similar deal last year when Aldi were selling what I considered to be a very good Mitre Saw for £79.99. Initially I thought this was the same model but it's clearly different and has a 1900W motor.
This appears to be an online deal only and as usual it comes with a 3 year warranty.
Details:
A must-have for the DIY enthusiast, this Workzone 10" Mitre Saw features a lightweight design for easy portability. It also packs 1900W of power and comes equipped with its own laser, making those tricky home improvement tasks a breeze.
Contents 1 x Saw 1 x Spanner 1 x Dust collection bag 1 x Carbon brushes 1 x Clamp 2 x Side extension bars 1 x Back support Features Lightweight aluminium design for easy transport Blade with 48 teeth No-load speed: 5000rpm Single bevel (45°) Mitre angle: 45° left / -45° right Max. cutting capacity: 0° x 90° 300 x 60 mm - 45° x 45° 200 x 40 mm - 45° x 90° 300 x 40mm - 0° x 45° 200 x 60 mm 2.65m cable with BS-plug Includes laser & batteries

I work in an Aldi distribution centre and seen these being loaded into the lorries for delivery to stores, I think it was marked up for sale for Thursday but not 100% sure on that, they also have a stand for it for £39.99.
Just checked online, on sale in stores from Thursday 20th April.

Title said double bevel but posted description says single bevel?
Is it compound like the Rage3-S?
(Seems compatible to Rage3-S if it's single bevel and compound, although 1900w instead of 1500w - or is there something else?)

how does this compare to the evolution one in screwfix for £100?

This one can make wider cuts than Rage 3s, 300mm vs 220mm. Depth is the same at 60mm.

thank you for the reply. Forgive my ignorance, is the wider cut a good thing? I read that the evo can cut wood plastic and metal is this the same? (heat regardless for the price) I'm just in the market for a mitre saw and wondering what the better one is.

I would have thought that the materials that it can cut is a function of the blade, not the unit itself. So if you wanted to use a sliding mitre saw to cut metal and plastic, you could buy a rage blade for an Aldi saw (if / when the need arises).
I'll gladly be told I'm wrong however...

That makes sense. Thank you.

I'm quite tempted but not sure how much use I would get out of it.

Thanks for letting us know. Never forget, buying HUKD deals is NOT compulsory!

Similar saw £10 cheaper at Lidl from Thursday. Does anyone know the weight of the Aldi and Lidl saws? Interested but it has to be portable.
