Off the back of my MSI deal yesterday, I figured I would take another look to see what else was out there. Found this MSI Gaming Laptop with a GTX960M with a nice saving of just over £100, plus some freebies to sweeten the deal! :sunglasses:

Bring on the comments that, as it doesn't have the absolutely latest components, it isn't a "gaming" laptop! Heat added - looks good to me!

this is a standard price for a standard gaming laptop built with last generation technology. let's just chuck in a mouse and mouse mat to make it seem like a value deal.

No he/she didn't!
Decent enough for the price, although it doesn't seem to be an IPS panel.

Why does it have a Kaby Lake CPU and a Maxwell GPU?

Great specs for the price, just a shame its msi (customer service is appalling), if you get one, fingers crossed it doesnt have any issues.

 Almost all the geeks I know rate MSI as being ahead of the pack.

Nope, average.

That fast NVMe SSD makes it better than "average" for £650 and the decent 4-core KabyLake i5 chip shouldn't run too hot, so it looks pretty good for the money. I'm guessing it's not an IPS screen though as they would probably have mentioned if it was?
