I have these. they really do quiet down the noise but I find them a little bit tight. Nothing unbearable though.
I got them because our 9 month old baby has started shouting. The volume she can reach is insane and it's at that frequency where it just hurts my ears. so I use these to keep my ears safe and I can still hear her more than enough so i know what she's up to. When she has her mad half hour of yelling I reach for my ear defenders.
The worst part about using ear defenders though is suddenly being left alone with the voices in my head....talking....incessant talking....scheming.....and so on

got a couple of pairs for my lad with autism, they're not bad they just muffle the sound. Paid about this price from screwfix
