I was looking for an everyday laptop at a reasonable price that doesn't weigh a tonne and this seems good value for money. I was going to buy it at £749.99 during the week but on checking today realised it had gone down by £100. Lowest it has been on camelcamel. Not a computer geek but I'm sure this should be useable for a while especially as the RAM is upgradeable.
It's the ASUS Zen book UX310UA- FB485T 13.3 inch QHD+ Notebook (Intel core i5-7200 Processor, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Windows 10) - Quartz Grey
Weight - 1.45kg

Good price for a Zenbook with these specs, anyone know if the fan is noisy on this one?

Had one and sent it back, a single noisy fan which seems to run permanently. Also huge bezel and poor touchpad

I'd say it sure is to the (last gen) entry 13.3" which was £999 or less before the price hikes on them, after the touchbar and 7th gen CPU models... ?

Yeah we have just that model in our house, but was wondering whether this would come close.

It is approx £400 more so is still harsh to compare but that's the closest macbook pro I could think of that comes closest out of the current models to buy new. I don't own either so I can't compare. However I'm stubborn so I won't buy a macbook now as I wouldn't pay more for something that is even more outdated than before. I am currently keeping a eye out for something with similar spec. However I'm not sure how well everything scales at this resolution on windows. However I would hope you could set it to 1080p.... :man:
I just wish it was from JL with a 2/3 year warranty. Amazon are great still for returns within 30 days.
