They seem to be pumping out these attractive exclusive quite regularly now but, if past performance is anything to be judged on, they do not change the prices after a few months - once you're on the deal, you stay on that deal for the foreseeable. This seemed such a good deal for your medium user and its perfect for kids as it has a cap that you can set to prevent silly overspends! it uses EE's 4G network It allows tethering which is a big bonus

Just get a 3 Payg SIM and a fiver topup.

Just did a quick speed test on my Plus Net 4G SIM - 25Mbps download and 8MBps upload. Admittedly not up to double speed EE standard, but I'm not paying for that service. But more than adequate for streaming, web browsing, emails etc etc. The same test with a 3G MVNO SIM, (dual SIM phone) results in 8Mbps down and 3Mbps up. So Plus Net are definitely not full speed bandwidth as you would get with an Direct to EE contract, but are in my case circa 3 x the speed of 3G ... so you pays your money, and gets what you pays for.
For me, and possibly for most, 3GB of "fast enough" 4G data with 1500 minutes and unlimited text for £8.00 on a 30 day rolling contract is a good deal.

Might be better to ask Plusnet!

Asking for help from members.
I have an elderly relative visting the Uk for four weeks. They use the odd text and voice calls mainly.
They'll not be needing any data at all.
Whats the cheapest sim I can get with many minutes, a few texts?

Hi
There are some good deals on the Virgin Mobile website for 30 day rolling
They also use EE's coverage and to be honest my wife and I have had no problems since we joined about a year ago.

I hear what you are saying.
If for under ten pounds, I can get a massive number. of mins included, I would prefer that.
If anybody has suggestions for a 30 day rolling, with a high number of mins - i'd be most grateful.
(If the underlying network used by your suggestions are ee or bt, even better. Good signal is important - We live within the M25 ).
Thanks to anywilling to help,
Lib.

Seems like plusnet pumping out deals! But for £10 you can get 5gb data and 1500 mins i agree not everyone will want that! This is in between the £5 and £10 deals. For average users
Three's deal for unlimited texts and minutes and 4GB data for £9 oer month with £45 cashback making it £5.25 pm is better but only available for the next 3 days via topcashback. You can cap it an no overspend too, but its 12 month contract not 30 day.

My wife switched to Plusnet mobile, no issues and a great service so far. The porting process was very straight forward.

Any £5 per month sim deals without cashback being taken into consideration, looking for a spare sim. So another network from Vodafone too.
