Xiaomi make very high quality products. I have numerous items from them and no problems so far. I have actually also ordered this phone from banggood, seems like a solid spec for the money and full UK 4g band support. I will eventually put lineageos on it, as I'm not a huge fan of miui.

Doh!
If you read all the posts about Chinese Phones, in these threads, that is the one golden rule. ALWAYS use the free slow post as with the likes of DHL and UPS, they demand the true value of the item is displayed for insurance purposes on the packaging, and they seem to get all their parcels screened by customs. Hence then the appropriate fees become payable.
If you select the free post option, they usually state the item being sent is a $5 MP3 player on the packaging, and customs don't usually check and let it through...
However there is still the risk if the parcel gets opened up and then Customs demand payment, but the general consensus is, the risk of it happening is a lot lower.

Forget about any meaningful warranty. But how many of the mobiles you have used have ever failed in the first 12 months? It's all about how much you think a warranty is worth but at 125 spondoolics this simply blows any UK-sourced mobile in its price category clean out of the water!

This is a snapdragon powered phone so satnav should be fine and dandy. It's the Mediatek phones that traditionally struggled with satnav (my old Elephone P6000 was embarrassingly bad).

£125.14 if you change your location to USA, then add the phone to your cart. Once its in your cart change your location back to UK.

Does doing this skimp on the warranty fee?

Well that's down to the app you choose, not the phone. TomTom Go or NavMii free are very good SatNav apps!

How does the warranty work? Do I have to shop it off to China under your own expense? I anyone had any experience with this?

That's what I assume - always puts me off these deals. They never used to allow these kind of deals lol ......

Don't get this, get the Redmi Note 3 instead. Better CPU.

Its not all about the clock speed. This Chipset brings full 4g bands and better battery life.

Any recommendations for a case for this? Are the dimensions different for this - thinking of the official Mi Flip case.
