Venice. Flights to Nice usually cost more.
Nice find OP, heat added.

be aware Venice Treviso is 1 hour away by train from actual Venice. Venice Marco Polo is the one to get to, water taxi 15/20mins from there across the water to Venice. Highly recommended to feel like James Bond arriving by boat with the Mrs ;-)

I don't know if you've heard this well known comparison between Birmingham and Venice.
But, there are more "i"s in Birmingham than Venice.
Oh... and more anals.

Yeah but Bristol Airport is 3hrs away from most of the other airports.... so fine if you live in Bristol...
Treviso is 40mins on a coach....

Water taxi is pretty expensive. 10 Euro bus from Treviso is much more MSE! Good deal. Voted hot. Have to go in June but prices still pretty good (and there's a 1310 flight which is more civilised!). Voted Hot.

It may be worth checking BA Holidays. I recently got a good deal with hotel and flights from LHR - VCE. Deducting the price of the hotel, the flights (inc checked luggage) worked out £200 return for 3 (2 Adults and a 2 year old). For us LHR is much closer then STN (they also do LGW), so that offsets the savings of going for Ryan Air. Plus flying into VCE means less of your time is wasted with transfers.
It may work out more expensive in absolute terms. But if you're paying several hundred pounds and using you're limited hols to go somewhere, sometimes the values in ensuring you spend more time there and less time getting there and have a more pleasant journey.
Private boat transfer from Marco Polo can be expensive if its just the two of you (~€200, return), but if there's a bigger group its not too bad (think they will take 6/7). As an alternative you can do shared boat transfer which is ~€100 return for two.
In both cases you're looking at ~20 mins.
Then there is the Bus or Water Bus. I think the Water Bus takes approximately ~50 mins and is around ~30 Euro return per person. IMO you'd be better off spending the extra and go for a shared private boat transfer unless you're going on your lonesome.
Opening post
London Stansted - Venice Treviso / £33.98 return
East Midlands - Venice Treviso / £33.98 return
Bristol - Venice Marco Polo / £33.98 return
Many dates to choose from in May.
Book your tickets directly at ryanair.com
Taxes are extra. Also surcharge for credit cards.
Kind regards
