I just phoned T-Mobile/EE to get a PAC code.
I was asked why I wanted to leave. I told the young lady that I went with the Plusnet deal of unltd calls and txts and 2GB data for £7.50 as I wasn't getting a good deal with EE. (have been with T-Mobile / EE for years on a 700 min, unltd text and 1GB on 3G for £11). Last week the other half paid £57 for going 81 mins over the limit hence the move to Plusnet.
The young lady asked me to wait a minute. Then she came back with a deal which beat Plusnet by 1p with all the above features and 4G on a 12 month contract for £7.49. I thought for a few seconds then agreed to it.
You can get good deals with these people, just do your homework beforehand.
I phoned EE 2-3 days ago and was told that the closet they could get to the Plusnet deal was a £17.99 package. I tried one last time and it worked.
You must get through to the PAC code at retentions for this to work.
Good luck to all.

I rang them up a couple of weeks ago requesting a PAC code and the best they could offer at that time for the same package as yours was £8.50. I refused and got my code which has to be used within a month. I might ring them again to see if they can offer me the same deal or go for the e2save cashback deal which works out at £5.50 down from £17.99.

My contract will be up end of this month. I had a quick browse here earlier, saw 20gb + unltd mins and text offer for £15.
Asked retention team to match it, took a minute for their reply. Got back with 20gb + unlt txts mins + 500mb eu roaming all for £15.
Happily accepted

That is a good deal too.
Wife doesn't use the phone much. I say much, then she goes and gets a £57 bill. LOL.

None of the deals mentioned with virgin and three in order to negotiate the £15 deal still exist so I don't understand what they are matching

That is a very good deal too.
I think it's who you get on the phone when you ring in.
CS can be tricky at the best of times.

Not a deal available to everyone .. i.e. Current customers and it's also not available for new customers.
I got this same deal a couple of weeks ago. Just spoke to their retentions department and they offered it straight up.. same deal with 4GB of data instead was £9.99.

OP, as you're new I doubt you'd have thought to add it, but could you please put "retention" in the title as has been mentioned, this isn't a deal that just anyone can get, ie it's not advertised. It's a handy heads up to people.

Got the same deal for £5.50 but involves claiming cashback. Still a good deal as I was never
offered this by retention.
Opening post
First post here so be gentle please. LOL
