Halfords have slashed the price of their display model Garmin Sat Navs. Click and Collect only. Staff instore were not aware as they had reduced the items a couple of days ago, but they are now slashed and still on shelf at a higher price.
Examples, Garmin Drive 40 LM reduced from £100 to £45
Top of the range Drive Luxe 50 LMT reduced from £300 to £129
I opted for the Garmin Drive assist 50 with built in DashCam, full Euro mapping and lifetime updates reduced from £280 to £119.
Staff told me they weren't aware of the current price drops as my model had only just been reduced from £280 to £200 a couple of days ago.
Other models available, just scroll through the 3 pages.

Not really. A dedicated half decent Satnav is way better than using your smartphone - no matter how good your phone is.

As a generalisation I have to agree with that, although there are some who still prefer their dedicated GPS units.
It doesn't take much to search and find information to show how much Garmin and TomTom have been affected....
As a family we all used to have standalone GPS devices but now with Smartphones none of us are using anything other than those. Even the software doesn't have to be Sygic or iGo etc anymore . It can be the free Google maps with the map downloaded for offline use. Or even the free Here maps and software.

Not so.My brother samsung phone dies after 1 hour with a flat battery, even if the charger is plugged in.
My Garmin runs for 5 hours on its own battery, voice activated, photos of junctions places of interest etc and my cheapo chinese import satnav for my motorcycle is shock proof and waterproof all for £75 !

Yes, mine came with everything in the original box and staff confirm the receipt is for full warranty.
Just a couple of sticky marks where security tags were.

Didn't have the one I ordered in stock but gave me another.
It was boxed and while had been opened seemed in a1 condition

Upon collection make sure you have been given the window bracket. Halfords tend to 'forget' on display models.
