This deal is on again but this time they are offering a £5 credit for any additional empty gas bottles you might have.
In the past they have never asked for an empty cylinder so maybe some people might have an empty or 2 hanging about. Sadly I got rid of 2 when i moved house recently.

Yes it's perfectly fine for you to use butane for your Weber BBQ.
You will need to change the regulator, 13kg butane requires a 21mm clip on regulator, £8.99 @ GasDeal or available online eBay or Amazon etc ; example

Only £1 for return of 13kg butane, £5 for various propane cylinders. Good deal though, heat.

I use this brand and get nothing from my local place for returning the cylinders. Over the years I could have accumulated a small mountain of them.

Calor charge you quite a hefty "deposit! for their bottles initially and are more expensive on the gas than Flo-Gas.

Not liking the "we will decide if the cylinder return is worth the credit".....can`t help feeling this will happen quite a lot!

Disgraceful way of doing business - "send it to us and you won't get it back - we might pay or we might not, whatever we feel like!" :man:

Slightly misleading as you have to have a empty cylinder to get the price ....

How many BBQ's would you expect to get out of a bottle?

In short no.
They dont normally give money off for return of empty cylinders, but there normal price for 13kg of butane is £23.99.
Even without an empty to enable you to get 13kg of butane for £19.99, £20.99 is excellent value.
