Used SSD? No thanks, unless it tells you the endurance/life/TBW remaining.
There's probably a good reason why so many returns are being resold as used...

Good deal. If you haven't got an SSD yet this may be better value than a SATA SSD; wonder if you could set up a RAID (stripe) with with this and a SATA SSD!? **check your motherboard supports this device before you buy **

Used on Amazon Warehouse doesn't necessarily mean used. Could be a tatty or open box.

Way overthinking it.
Still running spinning rust HDDs with over 50,000 hours, working like a champ. Backup/Image data regularly and don't put yourself in a situation where if a drive dies you lose everything and save dollar in the process. If anything SSDs would last Longer and M.2 is a relatively new technology, I doubt they've been hammered in a corporate file server 24/7.
"Tell me how many days you have ridden this bike & how long on average it should last. Pfft, used, that means other people have used this thing and are selling it?! There must be a problem!"

i wonder if there is an easy way to see if a laptop has the required slot? Lenovo is ambiguous about its existence in my laptop.
