The payment aspect of Humble Bundle is thought-provoking. We are providing money from the UK for bundles containing games from around the world and our money goes to the developers and Humble Bundle itself. It would be nice if there was a reasonably-sized UK-focused bundle site. I would imagine that the default charities do receive the bulk of the charity money, but the option is there in most bundles to search for and donate to UK charities. Maybe this deal (or separate thread?) is the place to share the major charities that people find that others could be donating to?
I've found: Oxfam UK, RSPCA, ROSPA, National Autistic Society, NSPCC British Legion, The Prince's Trust, Barnardo's Retail(?), RAF Benevolent Fund, pet charities, some hospitals and hospices, health/cancer charities such as CRUK, Macmillan, Marie Curie, Roy Castle Lung Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis Society and local charities, such as the Scottish Wildlife Trust.
But no Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth (except US), British Heart Foundation.
Even if you have a personal charity selected the bundle's charities, which presumably the developers approve of, are set up by default to receive some of the charity money allocated (though you can often switch it away from them).

Civ 5 is from 2010. Unless I really seriously overslept this morning we're not in 2025 yet.
Also these games are phenomenally well known to PC gamers so not like people need "warning" about it being turn based (as if that's a downside as opposed to a consistently popular genre in the PC community).

TBS is old fashioned? lol.
I guess thinking is very 'pedestrianised.' for some people.
so disappointed in this weeks bundle :disappointed: Going up to the BTA is essentially 3 of the same game with DLC. Totally not my thing - on upside....money still in posession

Best steer clear of all the other recently released 'old fashioned' games then
