Had great service from John Lewis in the past when problems have cropped up. Would trust them more than PRC in my opinion.

Just listen the to best advisors you have Muckspreader, (your eyes.) Spend a good hour in the store with both TV's and view them with lots of different content and lots of different angles. Take some of your own content on USB, turn off all of the processing settings.
I found the LED's looking great initially. After half an hour, it was all about the OLED. Don't take mine or anyone else's word for it.

Have you dealt with PRC or is that just an opinion? Having dealt with John Lewis I can honestly say I have had the worst customer experience ever from them. I placed order with them for what I thought was a good deal. My order was then rejected saying that my card didn't meet their security requirements. I'd never had a problem using my card before and so was a bit miffed. The email said if I'd like to ring them up then I could and they would be able to take my order. So I rang them up only to told the same. I tried calling them several times only to told the same thing over and over again. Whilst this was going on the item went up in price. I was then told they would accept my order but the item was no longer available and I would have to reorder. At this stage the item was more expensive than elsewhere and they could no longer supply it as it was no longer available (The same item was now listed with a different stock code at a higher price).
They might be ok if you collect in store but I would seriously avoid buying online especially if they are offering something at a good price. Better to buy from some one who honour their prices imo.

Always happens with the internet, some people will get a great experience from a retailer, while others won't. I personally ordered a tv from JL a few weeks back and had no issues.
However there's a few other retailers out there I would never use due to bad previous experiences
