Which is where the price should be. Luckily Sainsburys is the other end of town for me so don't go there too often but like it's Homebase sister company, prices seem so much more expensive when compared to the competition. You can get LED GU10's for £1.00 each from quite a few places now but depending on the type they may be worth a buy if you're in there.

Sainsbury's owns Argos, Homebase is owned by Wesfarmers since last year

Same seen in my local small branch. I think you need to mention this is 3 x bulbs for £1!

Sorry my bad it's the gu5.3 fittings that's 3 x for £1.

Decent LED replacements have been available at £2 or less each for a long time and use 10% of the electricity making these very expensive when you include the cost of using them.

Title says these are led?

OP: a 50W LED is going to be brighter than the sun! 5W maybe?

These might be cheap originally but will cost far more over the lifetime than more energy efficient bulbs.
Much better off getting LEDs which will use 10% of the power and provide the same light.

Are these not led?

They are LED.
I bought 4 of the 35W equivalents a few weeks ago at £1.60 each. So £1 each sounds about right as they are reduce to clear.
