I got 20, cheers OP.
10 x 50W dimmable and 10 x 35w non dimmable. Made a special trip and it was worth it.
It's horses for courses - you might want dimmable in bedrooms but not so in hallways.
They were all a quid and very decent, thanks!

My led spaylights are 200 lumens which is 3w and are more then bright enough

These only give 350 lumens of light so are not 50 watt equivalent. A 100 ordinary watt bulb gives atleast 1600 to 1800 lumens, so they are more like 20 or 25 Watt equivalent. No wonder they are selling for cheap on Sainsburys

350 lumens is about right for 50w equivalent, 35w lamp equivalent is around 230-250 lumens.

Oh my bad, I totally missed the LED when I saw 35 & 50W as LED are usually quoted in lumen but in this case the title quotes the halogen equivalent.

They are LED.
I bought 4 of the 35W equivalents a few weeks ago at £1.60 each. So £1 each sounds about right as they are reduce to clear.

These might be cheap originally but will cost far more over the lifetime than more energy efficient bulbs.
Much better off getting LEDs which will use 10% of the power and provide the same light.

Are these not led?

Decent LED replacements have been available at £2 or less each for a long time and use 10% of the electricity making these very expensive when you include the cost of using them.

Title says these are led?

OP: a 50W LED is going to be brighter than the sun! 5W maybe?

Sorry my bad it's the gu5.3 fittings that's 3 x for £1.

Sainsbury's owns Argos, Homebase is owned by Wesfarmers since last year

Which is where the price should be. Luckily Sainsburys is the other end of town for me so don't go there too often but like it's Homebase sister company, prices seem so much more expensive when compared to the competition. You can get LED GU10's for £1.00 each from quite a few places now but depending on the type they may be worth a buy if you're in there.
