Avoid ID mobile. Their customer service is shocking. Call centre based in South Africa and if you want something amended/cancelled with your plan expect to ask for it a number of times! Would not recommend sadly.

Name a reasonably cheap network provider that has good customer service.
If you don't need customer service, they're great.

how many times do you need to use CS anyway?
once in a blue moon I'd say is the norm so how can you judge anything on so very rare experience? (unless you are very chatty and call them every other day for a chit chat);
besides, if you are after rock bottom prices then something somewhere has to give...
it is not like you pay £500 every week for VIP treatment and box of chocolates on your Birthday
you can amend / change / add / remove many things by utilising on-line access to your account

Definitely not the network to be with when you want to cancel. All cancellation requests are ignored until well after a month or two have passed. Therefore you hAve no choice but to pay for them months line rental even though you didn't want to use their services. Horrible service when it comes to leaving them. Never again for me unfortunately

Never had any problems getting my PAC when i left to go back to 3 and the only reason i went back is because 3 gave me a better deal....if i wasn't on a 12mth sim-only now with 3 i would have gone back to ID.

to be honest anything is better than GG, their speeds are terrible less than 2Mb, ID use Three and my daughter gets 15+ on them but I don't know if ID reduce theirs. I am on plusnet and get 25Mb.
On the customer service piece, I went with ID and then saw the reviews and bottled it, however, speaking to them on the phone to cancel the sim they were very good, no issues money refunded. Their customer service team have been on here a few times helping people so looks like they are trying to make changes. Saying that most of the mobile providers have issues but reality is how often do you call them for anything on a 30 day sim, outside of buying and transferring probably never, at least that's been the case with the 4 sims we have in our house for all of the years we have had them.

Was on ID. I was pushing near 100mpbs when I had signal, signal to be fair wasn't too bad. Only thing I will say is, from experience they will change your contract once they decide to no longer honour it.
Or I could be bitter from being on an unlimited tariff to being told I'd get 10gb for the same price. Don't know how the maths added up.

My contract should have dropped from 4gb to 2gb after 12 months, but I received an email saying it would stay at 4

I received a letter which basically said. We no longer do an unlimited data tariff. However you will receive 10gb data for the price of £20 pm. Unlimited to 10gb was the main issue I had. Lets hope they respect contracts.

If you were within a contract term then you have a point. However if your 12 months were up and you were now rolling monthly (or were on a 1 month rolling anyway) they can change their allowance at any time by informing you. I don't see how changing it would be not respecting your contract if you are out of contract period.

Hi Lucas, wildecat is right. If you wish to disconnect your account then we can process a 30 day disconnection or provide a PAC to move the number to another network and therefore close the account.
If the cancellation process is not followed then the account would remain active and continue to be billed which would cause an overdue balance if the direct debit was not active.

Requested cancellation by phone. The lady on the other end said she has put the cancellation request through, and it will be cancelled. Come next month, its still not cancelled. Therefore rang them again, the lady on the other end said she will put the request through for cancellation, as it was NOT done the month before.so had to pay for another months useage! Too much hassle cancelling. And the only reason i wanted to cancel in first place was because network was horrible in my area, other than that i was on a good deal, with low line rental and enough data, mins, txt for my needs. The only issue i have with ID mobile is not acting upon a customers request.

To everyone commenting on CS, please go with ID mobile and you will see what I mean. More hassle than it's worth for a cheap deal. I cancelled and had 5/6 months of ID mobile re-setting up my dd without permission. Then calling EVERY time this happened to be told it won't happen again....it did. I wasn't in a 12 month contract, just a rolling 1 month contract. Does a cheap deal mean that they have to sacrifice CS? Just sharing my experience for people who may be attracted by the good price.

I've looked at the upgrade options on my account, and this isn't one of them. It seems odd, considering it gives me the option to downgrade - currently paying £10 a month and it's given me the option to move to a £4 a month deal. I've sent them a Facebook message. If I don't get a response I'll ring them tomorrow and if they won't move me on to this deal I'll ask for my PAC. Thinking of moving anyway.

They did respond promptly and my data allowance has now been increased to 5GB, which I'm really pleased with so will be continuing with my SIM only plan for my phone for the foreseeable future.
Unfortunately I will be cancelling the iD data only plan that I use for my MiFi, as EE are currently offering 32GB for £14.50 and I'm paying £15 for 5GB. I did ask but iD were unable to match it or offer me anything better than my current deal.
