the difference is in my specific case is that I use lots of different computers including my own at home for documents and also gaming. in my case it would drive me crazy even if there are very few keys that are different.
it may not be a bother for others. I only speak for myself as I bought a us keyboard without checking once .... only did that mistake once!

I have had one of these for over a year and they are great quality only down point is the spikey design on mine was alittle sharp when i got it and had to file it down alittle (I know random)
