Same deal as on around Christmas however is a great way of getting the controller for a cheaper price.

No, this comes with a game so net price of approx. £70 for the controller, that's what the deal is. Controller and game.

It's a lovely controller and better than anything out there. Imo this is aimed at the borderline pro gamer, the type that goes to or participates in online tournaments on games like COD where the response time really matters. The average gamer playing a casual game of FIFA or COD for an hour a night isn't really getting the true benefit of this controller. This deal makes it not that much more than a normal controller once you've sold the game (depending on the sell on value of the game you choose) so the deal itself is decent.

I've had mine for over a year now and nothing has happened to my controller it works flawlessly. Don't get this if your average Joe play a game for 5 hours a week. It's bigger than standard controllers. I can't use a normal controller now. Well worth the money as I spent much more than this when I bought mine.

For anyone interested, Microsoft store £119.99 but can get Halo Wars 2 for free
Better to get halo wars 2 digitally as its a play anywhere title imo.

Thanks, was hoping it would let me get the ultimate edition and pay the price difference. Maybe I'm too hopeful.

only if you want the extra buttons on the back which get in the way IMO.
I am just returning my one to MS as the shoulder button has snapped inside. ill probably then sell it

Absolutely! I got this deal last time and I couldn't believe the difference. Seems to have slightly better range too.

No.
Try handling one first. I was all up for getting one last year, but having played on one for an hour, it's just not right.
I ended up getting the upgraded white one with the new grips for £30, much better pad imo & £70 less.
Everyone I know who has one has removed the rear paddles, which is pointless on one of these.
Try it first !

They definitely are especially with this deal. I was sceptical at first about value for money but I bought one in the Christmas deal at this price with gears 4 and the controller is brilliant.

Does this work with Win 10 without a USB dongle or is that still required?

No. No Bluetooth so you still need a dongle.
Btw quality on these isn't amazing. Not really worth the premium. Especially for PC gaming the Bluetooth controller is much better value.
