Just be aware the desktop charger buzzes...and the more devices plugged in the louder it gets...
I sent mine back
If you can live with that though this is a great price.

Hopefully just a faulty one, as I can't see buzzing mentioned in the many reviews on amazon. I give it a try, it'll go back if it buzzes

my in car charger stopped working within 10 seconds. i got the desktop charger too, it pretty compact and mine isn't making a buzzing sound, but my ipad air struggled to charge of it and took a long time - but it might be my poundland cable.
I need to do returns on the in car charger with amazon

Did notice the Poundland cables didn't charge as quickly as the more expensive we have around the house. Have not bought anymore since. Am using a different multi usb charger than this one.

I'm sure it's the cable - cheap cables (including the micro USB ones) have thin gauge wires with higher internal resistance and less ability to carry high currents. I had this problem myself and noticed the plug at the iPad end heating up. 2A charging current is actually quite a lot for a thin lead.
It's worth testing the charging speed against your current charger - for example I bought a different "high-speed" USB charger with supposedly up to 2.4A output but with an iPair Air I found it only charged at half the speed of my Apple 12W (2.4A) charger so only around 1.2A with a single port.

I wish car manufacturers would design a new power outlet. The ancient old design was for cigarette lighters and not really suited to power applications. The connection is so flaky as well I'm surprised quite a few devices have not caught fire.
