Evidently he isn't a tradesman, having purchased a drill (and possibly bits) made for DIY use, aimed at the DIY market. That would likely explain why most DIYers using DIY grade tools at DIY prices might not be trying to drill through quartz concrete.
Whilst I personally use Bosch Blue, and would rather pay a little extra for a basic corded SDS over this drill, for a lot of people who will only be putting in a few wall plugs every now and again, this drill at this price makes sense.
Another person might think that a product that you have is rubbish, because they saw value in paying a little extra for a better model. However, that product may present great value for you in light of the use it may get and benefit you may receive from it.

Yes I agree. I was hoping mine would fail after 5 years of use so I could buy something decent but the bloody thing is just won't die.

I doubt there's any serious tradesmen eyeing up a thirty quid drill. I'd even be a bit miffed if I paid someone to do a job and he turned up with a few bargain tools from B&Q aimed at the DIYer market.

Does this work with the Bosch X-line 34 piece item that comes in the offer?
When I add that item the voucher discount seems to be removed.

Good price. I paid 30 for just the drill last year.

great price, but wouldn't you be better off waiting for the PSBH2100RE (SDS+ drill) to come back on special offer at £40?

I checked click and collect and it says collect from Sunday, yet it says the B&Q (Cribbs Causeway, Bristol) has it in stock. Why do I have to wait til Sunday. Stupid. Fancy just going there tomorrow and getting it, pretty sure that'll be fine.
