Normally the bike geeks would be slating anything weighing 15kg's as a BSO.....why not this one??

I'm not knocking it...it's a cheap bike and I voted hot..but the bike geeks normally moan about anything cheap and heavy, just though it odd they hadn't piped up on this one.
Personally I don't think this is a great bike...just a cheap bike with an over inflated RRP to give the impression it's a huge bargain.

yeah, my pedals cost more than this too, and I'd say that makes this a serious bargain. Not gonna beat any club records on it, but great for starting to commute, and if the bug bites, invest later :smile:

These are cheap for what they are, and probably as good as a £200 road bike, but that isn't really saying a lot. If the 14.9kg weight is correct (I can't believe it is that heavy) then that is VERY heavy. I can get the point of cheap hybrid or mountain bikes for short commutes, but can't really see the point of a rubbish road bike, you aren't going to want to go very far on this.
