Make your useless USB 3.0 port into external HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet outputs. Ideal for people who have a USB3 port but no HDMI or Gigabit network socket. Marvelous. Was £37.54. Free delivery when spending over £6.00 but as is so often then case with CPC they make things 1p less so simply buy CA0665369 for 1p (thanks to Miffyl for this) to get fabulous free postage.
1: Compact, portable design is ideal for travel use, excellent.
2: High resolution HDMI support up to 2048x1152, sweet.
4: Gigabit Ethernet port for fast data transfer, tasty.
5: USB powered, no power adaptor required, excellent.
6: SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface, speedy.
7: Backwards compatible with USB 2.0, ooh handy.
3: Supports Win XP/Vista/7/8 and Mac OS, nice but Win10?
8: Dimensions (HxWxD): 16x65x65mm, perfect size for my attache case.

My man servant was perusing CPC Farnell (I insist he checks every item each week to spot mega deals) and he elected to tell me about this little USB3 adaptor thingy that he insists might be quite useful and, as an added advantage it was greatly reduced in price. With my interest piqued I took note of the webular address and took a look for myself. I was pleasantly surprised that it did indeed appear to be a marvelous device at a price that is splendid. Curses though CPC, once again you insist on giving us products for £5.99 but only give free postage on items over £6.00. So, looking at the components section I carefully chose 10 resistors for 14p which will get me to the free postage nirvana and increase my stock of components that I'll never use. Pip Pip I say.

Actually a lot of ultrabooks don't have LAN ports and several need adapters for video output.

Anyone with techie knowledge...
I have a notebook, only with USB outputs and a projector that only uses HDMI or VGA.
Would this work to use an HDMI into it and then the USB into the notebook and it will project from the screen?
Thanks in advance

It looks like this might be what you need, does your notebook have USB3 do you know?

Go to site and download pdf file. It shows a projector/laptop setup. As already said you need to check you have a usb3 connection on you laptop or it almost certainly won't work. All previous USBs versions are much slower.

Even if it's no good the cheapest I can find is £14.99 on ebay. You should be able to get at least your money back by selling it through them. Good luck.

Thanks, I added some cable ties to get free delivery (part no. CB17668). Hot if it's not a misprice!
