I posted my last Leaf deal 3 yrs ago, 40,000+ miles later and I've no regrets. Yes, I know the limited range of EVs isn't ideal for everyone, but for people like us who do 30+ miles of school run every day they're a godsend.
Anyway, as the old one's due to go back I looked into replacing like with like, and was astounded by the deals I was offered.
The Acenta, based on 15,000 miles is 170.36 per month on a 3+23 basis, so 4429.36 over term, £42.59 per week. These prices include VAT.
The Tekna on the same terms is £200.45, so £50.11 per week.
If you're happy with a Visia, or expect to do fewer miles you'll pay considerably less. I'm presently torn between the two options above, I'm hankering for the Tekna, but it's still effectively a £ per day for a bit of flash trim and a slightly better stereo.
On the deals I've listed servicing is silly cheap, you should get to 30,000 miles on the first set of tyres too.
14/1/17 EDITED TO ADD:
A lot of people are messaging me and commenting to say "I can't see these prices on What Car's website". I didn't either, I enquired for a 3yr term and my local dealership (Smiths Peterborough) got back to me to tell me the two year terms were actually cheaper. Something to do with residual values. I'm guessing it's easier for them to sell a 2yr old car with warranty left than a 3yr old one, maybe?

This is us having a family street party on the Golden Jubilee.
Believe me, I don't clog roads up. As I said, I live in the middle of nowhere.

Want to know how much I've spent on fuel this last 40 odd thousand miles?
£zero.
Granted, the electricity bills aren't what they were, but it's way cheaper all told. Some people buy a Leaf and end up paying £100 per month just for the batteries. These prices are genuinely great, but each to their own. This deal has zero appeal to anyone who'd pick a Golf R, I know that.

A very satisfied Leaf owner and my night electricity rate is 5p per kW and I average 4.6 miles per kW so just over a penny a mile.
I have done 25000 miles in 21 months and would never go back to an internal combustion engined car, admittedly longer journeys take more time due to recharging (30 minutes to recharge) but this will disappear as batteries get larger in the next couple of years allowing 200 to 300 mile range.
Like it or not this is the future people.

My car is free to run too, its powered by my own sense of self satisfaction a bit like a vegan.

Forgot to mention these prices are based on a flat paint finish. Metallic paint is ~£20 per month extra, didn't seem to make enough sense to worry about to me.

Funny how people compare apples with pears and OP has to clarify even than. As if posting a decent deal wasn't enough;)

Actually you would be surprised. I had a Golf R7 then swapped it for a i3.
The Golf was quick, but cost a fortune to run. The i3 is nearly as quick 0-60 6.5 and costs £1.59 for 80 miles around £15pm in electric.
I like the i3 better.
Hot deal

That'll be mods meddling. Go to the What Car website and find their leasing deals.
