I picked up the Ulefone Paris last year from banggood (£54) with similar specs and was gobsmacked at the stunning build quality.
Really don't understand people paying hundreds of pounds for smartphones anymore......

If you take fanboi mediatek h8ers out of the equation.... A lot closer than you might think.
Yes, the SD "can" support higher MP cameras and higher video rates but not really an issue on a 720p 70quid phone.

I would say that this CPU most closely resembles a Snapdragon 410, similar 1.3GHZ Cortex A53, different GPU but probably comparable. The Mediatek GPU is an Arm Mali 720. My wife has a phone with this SOC and I think it performs really well for the price she paid (£75) late last year.

I'm not fanboying here mate I was asking the question genuinely. Do you know it's nearest equivalent snap dragon for comparison?

Yes, sorry. Wasn't suggesting that you were but I was expecting a slew of "Mediatek are rubbish" posts as a reply to your initial post.
In a lot of ways, Snapdragons are likely to perform better than Mediatek but it's not always the case.
If you ignore the rather brief conclusion and read the comments below there is some good info there about why a mediatek processor is better suited to certain types of phone (The U008 is a good example of where this would be the case)

In terms of a similar SnapDragon equipped phone, maybe the Moto X Play (but will probably cost about 30 quid more).
