Google Maps is offering £20 off an Uber ride for new and existing customers.
No idea if its for selected accounts or everyone but I opened Google Maps, plotted a route home and selected the Taxi option (little man waving) and I got a popup saying £20 off this trip. I accepted and ordered and was asked to link to a new or existing Uber account, I linked to my existing and got the £20 discount.

My dad is an Uber driver. Are you saying my dad is a third world driver?
How do those figures for rape/assault compare to normal taxi drivers? On their own they are pretty meaningless.

Go into your app > swipe in from the left > select Your Trips > choose the offending trip and scroll down, choose one of the options and explain the issue you had and you'll get a refund pretty quick.

What a stupid thing to read.
64 assaults in 2 years. Uber has had over a million rides in London at the end on 2016
0.0064% chance of something bad happening.
Ive got no idea why it matters if they guy uses a sat nav to navigate. You know they have them in Black cabs in London as well?
Ive used Uber in 8 different country's and spent 7 years going out in London and I sure as hell would rather order an Uber after a night out than rely on any taxi firm on the street.

There is no link per se, the discount is applied when you pay via android pay but the offer is pretty visible within the app. It's 50% off up to a max. discount of £5

Hello, it only seems to work if you use it for a trip there and then. I was offered it yesterday though and it's stuck around until today.

What Prosamuriman said. Uber are still in the 'spend investors cash' stage and it is all about customer service atm (not employees service but that is a different issue). Also as your first time using them why aren't you using one of the voucher codes for first free ride that litter the web?

same thing happened to me in Malaysia. under refunded the payment within 24 hours. There's an option on the app somewhere to complain about the driver/fare.

To dispute it just go to 'Your Trips' > 'I would like a refund'. Explain why and you will get a refund instantly. Works every time.
