I would definitely argue that case. I have used this for years for space sims and flight sim. Given its nothing compared some but for sub £30 nothing compares. Especially the ability to split the flight stick and throttle either side of the keyboard.

I too would disagree with this - Elite dangerous is fantastic with this setup.

There is a lot of snobbery around HOTAS and while setups like the warthog are beautifully made the Hotas X is perfectly usable and has no competition in its price bracket. Probably one of the best pilots in Elite Dangerous uses one with flight assist off. He made a video guide here. If you check his channel there are a lot of videos of him flying with far more skill than most people will ever achieve.
Personally I like to use dual sticks (2 T1600Ms) as I find it more fun than hotas.

Great deal and using it with Elite Dangerous, there are quite a few key bindings that can be downloaded for it.

It's fine for space sims, played plenty of ED with it, In fact I've owned this stick for years and it is still in perfect condition. Reddit is full of obese basement dwelling braggart pedants.

I bought this for elite dangerous about a year ago. It's great for the price and really adds to the immersion.

It feels cheap and nasty but does the job. Can't expect it to be amazing for that price though.

Got this brand new from Amazon in 2015 for £20. Still not opened it.
Not the cheapest since 2010...

I won a Saitek x52 worth £150, and much preferred my Thrustmaster, thus buying the second one for my other PC.
The x52 just felt wobbly. This felt firmer and more responsive.
