So its closed minded to want a FAIR CHOICE is it then?....I said that it was fine for Subway to offer the option of having halal meat but there should also be the option of having the TRADITIONAL option in this country of humanely slaughtered meat for the millions of people out there who disagree with the whole barbaric process of halal produced meat. Yes, I have a choice of course but the principal of the whole "no option" thing is what I'm getting at.We are living in Great Britain, not Saudi Arabia where you would expect to get no choice!

If thats true then thats a disgrace. Sure, its fine to give people the choice of halal (if thats their beliefs) but to then not give the traditional option to all those who don't have that belief and think the slaughtering process for that type of meat is barbaric and of the middle ages, is utterly obscene. All Subways (and other places that have the same no choice policy) should be boycotted.

Well if it was in the Daily Mail then it must be true. And as for humanely slaughtered meat how do you get that, massage the animal to death? There is no such thing as humane when it comes to slaughtering

wouldn't call it a disgrace I think a lot of Subways are franchised and the area's they're in round here cater for Halal customers so I just spend my money else where.
Not a massive fan of sandwiches without butter/spread anyway.

Your choice is not to patronise those business who have taken this route. Maybe a better/less close-minded response would be "what are they substituent the pork products with?".
A lot of places will use Turkey Bacon as a substitute, which is so much healthier, disregarding the religious beliefs of other people.
