So its closed minded to want a FAIR CHOICE is it then?....I said that it was fine for Subway to offer the option of having halal meat but there should also be the option of having the TRADITIONAL option in this country of humanely slaughtered meat for the millions of people out there who disagree with the whole barbaric process of halal produced meat. Yes, I have a choice of course but the principal of the whole "no option" thing is what I'm getting at.We are living in Great Britain, not Saudi Arabia where you would expect to get no choice!

If thats true then thats a disgrace. Sure, its fine to give people the choice of halal (if thats their beliefs) but to then not give the traditional option to all those who don't have that belief and think the slaughtering process for that type of meat is barbaric and of the middle ages, is utterly obscene. All Subways (and other places that have the same no choice policy) should be boycotted.

Well if it was in the Daily Mail then it must be true. And as for humanely slaughtered meat how do you get that, massage the animal to death? There is no such thing as humane when it comes to slaughtering

So personally I don't really care if something is Halal or not, doesn't really bother me.
Anyway, so I've had this offer twice this week, I went to a Halal store earlier in the week and to be honest I wouldn't bother going for this offer again. The 'sausage' was a (presumably) turkey burger, and it was turkey bacon. The whole sandwich had no taste at all, I was just even generic mush, the only thing I could taste was the ketchup and egg. I'm not saying I disliked it, but I didn't like it either, there was no taste either way. If you literally wanted something to fill you up then yeah sure, but it's tasteless junk.
So I'd decided to not bother again as wasn't even worth the 99p (imo), but I was passing a none Halal store, which whilst I don't care about the method I thought I'd try it with real pork. This one had 'real' sausages and bacon in, and whilst it still wasn't amazing and I'd probably not get it again either (especially at normal price), at least it actually tasted of something.

not in kingfisher shopping center redditch told by snotty woman it's next week even though it was advertised on radio as this week
As a Jew...we don't eat pork and the food we eat has to be certified kosher...Subway need to cater for the jewish community soon
As for the slaughter of an animal whether its Kosher/Halal/Non Kosher/ Non Halal
If you ever visit any slaughter house in the UK you will come out and become a vegetarian.

Islam isn't one race though, it's many. British muslims exist therefore they can't go back to their own country.
If you can't grasp that then what exactly makes someone "British" in your eyes?

Yeah thats why they could go back to wherever. I never specified one place, just one race  I don't know about you but i like freedom of choice in my own country

What I'm saying is that religion doesn't have a country since many people of all races can convert to Islam. By your logic should all Jews and Christians go back to Israel? All Hindus and Buddhists go back to India? People of all religions should feel welcome in the UK because the majority were born here.

Like i said which ever one they came from? We are expected to put up with everything they want to change in our country.
They don't adapt to our needs do they? yet we haveto have ' halal ' meat or not be allowed to serve pork in certain establishments..
We should be more like austrialia..You ever put up with it or leave. They have it spot on, non of this walking on eggshells in our country to please everyone else but the british people
If we don't do what they want we get called racist

No no. I was replying to the other poster, just the way the quotes have been organised doesn't make that clear.

Did someone really say "Humanely slaughtered"??

It is and I am just asking which country you expect these muslims (a large proportion of which are British born) to go back to. Islam (like any religion) isn't limited to one country.

Last time I checked there were over 1.5 billion in the world that are spread between 50 countries where it is the majority religion and several others with a large following.

Your choice is not to patronise those business who have taken this route. Maybe a better/less close-minded response would be "what are they substituent the pork products with?".
A lot of places will use Turkey Bacon as a substitute, which is so much healthier, disregarding the religious beliefs of other people.
