Boots currently have their 500ml shampoo and conditioner range on a very good offer of 75p per bottle. In the current in-store magazine, dated Jan-Feb, there is a coupon for 200 points when you buy ANY 2 shampoos or conditioners (excluding miniatures and premium brands). The magazine is free if you're an Advantage card holder. You can get as many as you like. As such it's 50p profit in points terms (£2 back in points) for each 2 bottles you buy.
On top of this, if you look at your Boots app, you can get 100 points for buying anything. This works in conjunction so 300 points (£3) for spending £1.50 on shampoo/conditioner.

Thanks OP I got 4 bottles shampoo/conditioner to donate to local women's aid shelter. Lots of women leave abusive homes with just the clothes on their back and a social worker I know takes donations along to the shelter.

I know - first time I used it she was saying it has to be John Frieda. Durrrrr - read the small print. Then she said I don't think this will work - well can you try it please!!!! It worked, which wiped the smile off her face. I think a sales assistant somewhere will be reporting this soon so we'd best get our hands on as many as we can. There is nothing wrong with what we are doing - you cannot tell me that Boots don't have a system whereby they check their coupons with what is available in store and what at price etc before they print magazines? A multi million pound company that doesn't pay appropriate rates of tax in this country (allegedly)?? Bless them....

Yeah, the 100 points for buying anything isn't on my app either.

For every pound spent the cardholder receives four points. Each point is worth 1p. It's not 1p for every penny spent so you will get 8 points not 200
No - the coupon is just valid on shampoo & conditioner. Can be any brand as long as it's not premium brands. Boots' own make are the cheapest as the OP states (75p each)

would you have to buy these in multiple transactions to get the bonus points?
