I'd choose a quality Samsung HD tv over a 4K tv any day. Not everyone needs or wants 4K. Hardly old tech

The gf got one of these for her flat. Great price.
You need to spend 2x this amount to get 4K that is actually decent quality along with HDR. 1080p on this looks far better than upscaled **** on a cheap 4K TV.

still works very well with SD & full HD signals; I think you meant to say not so good for the very cash flush people who have brought 4k feeds.

True but I've seen 50" go for similar money with similar specs so for a 40" it's not a huge bargain. About right money nowadays
