Have bought three items from Richer Sounds, the staff were excellent and were able to answer all the questions that I asked. So perhaps some stores are better than others. Also the prices were good. I particularly liked the 6 year warranty - basically 10% of the purchase price. If the warranty is not used during the 6 year period, you get the cost of the warranty reimbursed if you apply for it and claim within 30 days. They even write to you and advise that the 6 year period is due to end.

Mmm either Robert Paulson owns a hifi shop close to a richer sounds or he's just bought these speakers at full price :stuck_out_tongue:

The only potential deal here is the 6 year warranty rather than 5 year warranty of same kit at same price via likes of SuperFi and PeterTyson.

TBH that's my experience of most hifi stores who will try to sell you whatever they get most commission on rather than letting you listen and decide for yourself.
Last time I set foot in one they tried to persuade me I should trade in my Linn system for something by Pioneer or Sony.
Whereas when I wanted a DVD player Richer sounds just let me buy a few options on my credit card so I could try them at home n return the ones I didn't want for a refund.

On a none richer sounds note. I've got some of these and they are great! The MX1s I had didn't sound right with my pioneer amp but were great with Denon DM39. These KEF come with inserts for so you can alter Bass. I left mine out because that's what was missing when changed my amp and they sound superb...I've got the white version and they look mint with no cover. I tried a fair few speakers when got MX1s and these destroyed all the £150-300 speakers I'd tried as they are really a £500 design not just a name.

And you don't think the manufacturer is on board with that? Who do you think is supplying these items to richer sounds? Who do you think authorised the discount? The manufacturer perhaps??
