If you are in the loop to buy a new new cpu/mobo - and can wait, wait till amd ryzen comes out..

Yeah, by about a quid.
AMD has thrown all their eggs in one basket with these new processors and GPU's, they won't be sold at budget prices. The PC enthusiast market will always be ripped off.
My guess is they'll be almost like-for-like in price. The motherboards will probably be more as well....
I see it time and time again here, "wait for xxx to come out! prices will drop!". I remember folk here holding out for the 1070 and 1080 to come out thinking the 980Ti would come down to £280 or so... in reality the 980Ti pretty much stayed the same price  Out of frustration pretty much all the 1070/1080 and 980Ti deals got voted freezing here for weeks on end. I imagine the same will happen to the Ryzen hardware as well.

Until some independant benchmarks appear, Ryzen is not a "game changer"!

I'm not being a fanboi but saying (sensibly) if you can wait and not do a new build this week, it might be worthwhile

Definitely agree. Even if you aren't planning on getting a Ryzen CPU, Intel are bound to drop their prices to compete.

I wish I could find this kind of deal for the Asus Strix Z270G motherboard! (mATX)
*Looks at site*
There is one, but it's with the i7 7700K CPU clocked to 4.80GHz, and £732.79! :disappointed:
mATX (244mm x 244mm) is a smaller size than a standard motherboard (305 × 244 mm).
The main difference is fewer PCIe slots (max 4 vs max 7).
MiniITX (170mm x 170mm) is smaller again, and generally has only 1 PCIe, and only 2 RAM slots.
Note: Old wikipedia pic shows old motherboards, but sizes still relevant.
