Until the 28th Feb, HSBC are offering £25 cashback if you apply for an HSBC Credit Card and use the credit card for either a purchase or a balance transfer within 60 days of opening the credit card account.
No minimum spend but balance transfer has a minimum of £50 (1.4% fee)
So buy something for £1 and pay it off staight away (although you get 3 months 0% on spends)
Might be of use for stoozers out there

I try to avoid credit cards as they are a bad habit of unnecessary spending

not really as many as possible IMV - you need to be focused
£25 is OK if you don't intend to put much money through your crtedit cards
if you can put through (say) £3000 in a couple of months, I'd rather get £200 back
