The CPU is around 20% faster but the screen is garbage. When you consider that the screen is something you will always be using that's something you really don't want to compromise on if possible.
A FHD screen is so much better for productivity. 1366x768 should be banned.
The AMD chip also has a better iGP for gaming.
It's not difficult.
Download Windows 10 x64 ISO. Create boot able media. Open bottom panel. Remove HDD. Insert SSD. Boot from media. Install Windows. Sorted.
Otherwise pay the extra for a factory fitted SSD.

I know , was in the process of editing initial post and it disappeared , must have gone for mods to consider, or what ever and I duplicated by mistake. reported the other one as spam so hopefully be removed
this actually worth it guys , replace HDD for SSD and away you go , got it for the Daughter (@uni) hope its not too heavy carrying it around
Looks like a very good buy to me.
The display is SVA so in between TN and IPS. More USB 3.0 ports would be nice.
Swap out the HDD for an SSD.
Buy a 2.5" USB 3.0 enclosure and you've got a 2TB backup drive worth around £60. Or remove the optical drive for the best of both worlds.

Buying a laptop without an SSD is a huge mistake. Unless you plan to swap one in yourself, but feck that.

can anyone please confirm its not a big disassembly to replace optical drive with a SSD

Ditto. Are we talking an accessible opening of some sort, just undo a free screw's, swap over and it's done. Or are you taking the case apart to get in?
Also would doing this void the warranty? Presumably one of the advantages of buying from JL is for the 2 year standard, but not if you immediately void it by changing it to ssd.

Do you mean the hard drive or the optical drive?
Because removing an optical drive is literally undoing one screw and pulling out the bay. You buy a replacement caddy from eBay, put your new hard drive or SSD in and slide it back in
Removing the hard drive just involves taking off the bottom plate with one screw and swapping the hard drive, there are no warranty stickers
