Seems a good deal for a 27" monitor, granted only 1080p but can't expect much more for £129.99.

A lot of people say you don't wana go above 24" when youre getting a 1080p res as the pixels are too stretched. Viewing angle will be poor too as its a TN panel, so you'll need to sit squat in front of it but the 2ms response time is great. I'm lookin for an IPS screen (richer colours) with a 5ms response time as they say anything 5ms or below its almost impossible to tell the difference with the naked eye.

This looks like a good deal.
Similar monitors are often a similar price it seems to me - eg:-
The bezel on this one looks considerably thicker than the bezel on the monitor I've linked to.
I'd love it if someone with more knowledge of these things could shed some light on the different models Acer offer and which are better quality than others....

Much nicer with the zero frame, seems like they bulked everything else out though, I don't like that base either, fussy I know but I will be starring at it for a few years almost constantly..

Agreed. The one I linked to has a VESA mount though, and I intend to wall mount two monitors. I bought the one I linked to, and I think it looks fine, but it was always going to be my second screen, and I'm on the lookout for a bargain 1440p 27" for use as my main screen.

My main monitor is 23", (144hz, 3d samsung gaming monitor) a friend sold me a 27" 1080p monitor, 60hz cheap monitor (benq).
I tried the 27" monitor as my main, and just couldn't get along with it. Could've been the cheapness showing its quality. I tried it at 1080p didn't sit well, then tried it at dsr (dynamic super res), 1440p and 4k. It looked slightly better but I just didn't like it. Text was a tad off, sharpness had its faults, and colours were weak.
It got put to one side for a month and then I decided to try it as a 2nd monitor. Use it for my work files and kodi due to It having built in speakers. As I'm not constantly looking at that monitor, I don't notice the issues anymore.
I've always been tempted to get a 2nd large monitor but it would have to be 1440p or 4k.

I'm looking for a monitor for work didn't know if I should go for a 23" if go big for 27". mostly for works stuff no gaming maybe some kodi for football streams on Saturdays.
will going to 27" make windows look not as sharp as it would on a smaller screen? ..ideally a IPS over TN.
