Not sure drivers would cut new holes in the casing or magically make RAM easier to install!

It translates to idiot without a clue who just looks at numbers.
This CPU is decent for the price, the majority of users won't have trouble with it.

Recently purchased a cheaper version of this (without SSD & only 4GB RAM - took those from my old laptop) this as a cheap emergency replacement as my old laptop gave up the ghost and in my opinion it's solid for the basics and some light gaming such as Telltale Games, Civilisation V, Minecraft, Monkey Island Special Editions, FTL etc...
I only have three main gripes with it based on the past 2 months usage.
1. You have to completely take it apart to install more RAM.
2. Only one small air vent at the left hand side of the back and an even smaller one on the bottom of the laptop leads to excessive overheating.
3. The "Precision Touchpad" has a mind of it's own and some times just flatout refuses to work. You may need to use a mouse.

There's things called drivers that you can install from the Acer website. That would be my first port of call.

Purchased this from Very for £399 in December. Returned it as compared to my 5 yearly old HP Pav i3, it was ridiculously slow.
Start up quite quick but browsing and Football Manager very frustrating. (Old Laptop had a speed rating of 4/5 stars on this game and Acer had half/5)
Definitely not advised for Sims, Football Manager type games-wrongly thought the SSD would actually speed up the game.
Also not a fan of the touchpad, there is no button so can take a bit of getting used to.
May not be for you if your a casual gamer, want responsive browsing etc but seems fine if you only need it for basic programmes such as Word. [edit_reasons] [i]Edited By: smit1 on Jan 29, 2017 17:36: Spell check

**** processor only 2917 points, I wouldn't bother.
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ is a website that shows benchmark results for different processors. In comparison, my HP laptop which I got from HUKD two years ago for £249 has a benchmark score of 4437 (i5-4288U).
