Just grabbed a bargain of £29 for this Nescafe Dulce Gusto coffee maker. Have always ummed and arred about getting one but as this was reduced from £79.50, I took the plunge, saving me £50.50 :-) Have looked on other sites but could only find it for £80+.

There is no doubting that this is a great deal and the Dolce Gusto range of coffees taste good (I own 2 machines). However, buyer beware that this particular model doesn't have a "play & select" lever. In other words, you need to manually start and stop the flow of water, based on the drink (or your taste). Whilst this may seem like a trivial point to make, those that own a Dolce Gusto machine will know that the pods are labelled with a drink size guide, matching the levels on the "play & select" machines. Not so much of a big deal for a straight Americano, but quite important when it comes to the 2-pod drinks, such as the cappuccino or latte.
If you're not desperate for a machine, I'd keep on the look out for a deal on the Dolce Gusto Mini Me (made by both Krups and De'Longhi). Similar to the Piccolo, but it has the drink size selector. I've seen them for around the £33 mark (last time was at Tesco), but the cheapest at the moment seems to be £50 from Debenhams.

So is this online or in store since the link takes me to Tesco Groceries website?
great if you can find cheap pod supplier otherwise expensive alternative to good coffee maker which cheaper in long run. Bit like buying a cheap printer only to find that cartridges are twice as expensive.

great machine. price wise OK, compared to £2-3 ish for a speciality coffee/fancy drink if you buy in a coffee shop. Had mine for quite a few years. 3 boxes for around £10 in Asda. Either 16 pods (16 drinks) per box or (16 pods 8/8 split so 8 drinks) ☺

I bought this on Tuesday from Currys who also had it for £29.99
I've been impressed with it, you get a box of 4 different drinks with it, and also a £10 voucher to order pods online.
I was sceptical about the temperature of the drinks as I read some people say they are not very hot. The drinks have been excellent, better than what I thought.
