I have a bigger collection that Netflix. I've also got terrible internet speeds so streaming can be an issue. Especially at peak times.
Much rather have local media as it's far more reliable and is all Uncompressed it's better quality too
Plus my server looks cool (that's a joke of course, but it does)

Fair enough, I just worry about those hard drives gaining intelligence.Less of them together the better.

Good to see bigger drives being launched at a sensible price. Somewhere for me to go when my next Red 4 fills up and would allow a total of 240TB (unformatted) in my server. Nice.

240TB?!
Getting server envy now! I make do with 12TB RAIDed to 8TB, but then I just delete stuff once I've watched it and don't have lossless music.

10TB now in one drive wow - decent price considering the premium you always pay on the high capacity when they are new

12TB drives are on the way too, this is a decent price for a 10TB version.

I see from a close look at the pic there's the ability to back up these drives to a usb stick. :smirk:

A 3TB drive is still approx £90. at £30/TB they aren't charging much of a premium for this. Great price if you need the storage.
That's crazy! How many movies do you have on that thing?! I have over 100 blu rays and a fair few TV shows ripped from blu rays on my server which only has 6TB storage and I have loads free!
To fill that you must have well over 5000 movies on there
