LG will have better colours because its an IPS panel vs TN. Depends what you want.
Viewsonic will be better for FPS games.
IMO £96.18 vs £132.99, i know which monitor i would pick. I personally have a 144hz 24" and 27" AOC Monitors but the price for the Viewsonic with Freesync and 75hz is a steal for any PC Gamer.

If your needs are gaming, then this ViewSonic appears to be a very hot deal.

I have to agree with the comments re-IPS. I have just changed over to an Acer 24" with IPS and connect via HDMI from a 19" VGA. The most pleasant aspect is when watching Football. With the old monitor I used to get a lot of screen breakup and stoppages but with the new monitor this has disappeared totally.

If you want for general use and some gaming as well, then you might want to consider an IPS monitor. The LG IPS monitor you have listed seems fine but better spec and value for money for 24 inch screen can be had. Here is what I just purchased:
