Any contactless terminal should accept Android pay.

that will be fun to see, because both Android Pay and Apple Pay have extra layers of security that a standard contactless card from your bank does not have. Your contactless card can be subject to something called a replay attack where someone within a few feet of you can record the transaction between the terminal and your card. with Android and Apple Pay, even if they record the transaction, the cryptography is better, it's a virtual card number and is basically impossible to brute force / programmatically guess ask the different unique parts of the transaction to create a new transaction. finally if your phone gets hacked, it doesn't matter, your bank is still involved in every transaction with Android Pay, and it's still up to your bank to spot odd behaviour, to authorise the transaction and to keep the transaction secure.

Used my £3 Costa gift card yesterday. Didn't buy any drink, just a panini that was £4.25 - used the £3 gift card (well, QR code) and used Android Pay to pay for the difference.
Found it funny that while I was waiting for my panini to be warmed up, the manager seemed perplexed and annoyed that I wasn't having a coffee!
Would never pay full price for that panini though. Flipping heck, £4.25?

If like me you closed the app before realising you had a cracker it can be found in the pile of loyalty cards etc that on in the app.

For those who havent set Android pay up before and on TSB you will need to get a PIN set up for telephone banking when you first set android pay up.
Dont know if other banks are the same.

Do we know the list of stores accept Android Pay.
I was trying at a Tesco Extra last week and nothing was happening.
Tesco definitely does work. Costa works too. pretty much any store that has contactless sign works as far as I have found.

As mentioned above, it should work everywhere contactless is accepted.
The phone can't be in sleep mode when you try to pay. The screen must be on, you don't have to unlock your phone, though.

ANYWHERE
ANYWHERE you see the above logo you can use Android Pay, it's not like Apple Pay where the machine has to be Apple pay ready. If you can tap a contactless card, you can use it.
Supermarkets vary from location, my Tesco nearest me doesn't accept contactless BUT the Tesco Superstore further down the road does.
ALL banks issue contactless cards now by default, so more and more places are coming online daily to use contactless, and like i said, wherever you see contactless Android Pay will work!
I ve been using it since the UK launch, and i swear by it, great experience and accepted almost everywhere locally to me.
PS (just noticed Uber has started taking Android Pay within the app too)!

When Android Pay first launched it only used to work with a select list of retailers, now they have changed it so it will work whereever the contactless symbol is seen.

On Android website, Tesco is not on the list (where all th store logos are) - https://www.android.com/intl/en_uk/pay/
