Instead of people saying they could build a much better spec PC for less, why not post links to those far superior builds for much less money?

Agree with most of what you say but by no means is the 1070 a "mid tier" gpu. It may not be the best but it's certainly up there.

Ah the PC master race are out in full force it seems.
Because everybody has the confidence to build their own PC from scratch don't they..... Get a bloody grip.
Also all the internet dick swinging of 'well my build is FAR superior to this'.... Nobody asked you about your build so shut up

as always with these pre builds the quality of the PSU ought to be checked. Otherwise it's some decent tech for an alright price

I'm with you on this one and I bet the PSU is not the only piece of garbage in it.
Could easily assemble a far superior machine for the same price.

£700 worth of CPU/GPU alone. You could build it cheaper but if you don't have the confidence to do so and want a 3 year warranty, seems like a no brainer.

At the bottom of the listing: "Please note item 6007674 has previously been on sale at £1049.99".
I would wait.

StormForce from Argos sounds like a brand I would trust when dropping over a grand on a computer.
Brings back horrible memories of a Packard Bell running Windows ME my Dad bought from PC World many years ago. :disappointed:

Slightly cheaper and slightly tweaked version on Ebuyer
very good but, but I would replace the psu if it is not a good brand

A lot of money for mid tier components here.
The i7 6700k at 3.4GHZ is also the weaker of the 2 variants, no mention of the motherboard but guessing it would be a fairly standard B170 maybe. As others have mentioned no mention of the PSU which is always a bad sign. The GTX 1070 is also a very mid-high range card and you could have much bigger bite from a better card. 128GB SSD is also hardly anything, being stuck with a mechanical drive for the main drive sucks.
I mean to build this PC would cost a lot less and guarantee you the build quality you want.
As of right now my PC costs around £1,300 and is FAR superior to this spec. I would dodge this build at any cost above £900 to be honest.

Seems like mobo is MSI B150 MATE and PSU is a mystery which isn't usually a good sign :S

The 1070 is literally only weaker than 2 other GPUs out on the market at the moment. How that is anything but high-end I have no idea. 128GB is fine for putting the OS on there with a few important applications, short-stroke the HDD for games you play often, leave files you barely access on the slower partition. If you buy the parts now without looking for any deals then the CPU/GPU would come at just under £700 on their own, so an extra £400 for the rubbish motherboard with Wi-fi, SSD+1TB HDD, 16GB RAM, OS, fan, probably rubbish PSU, decent case and 3 year warranty isn't bad.

3rd best GPU on the market...mid tier. Makes sense!
