I cancelled SKY on Dec 16th. Went online to the chat forum and was offered 20% off variety pack. I asked for 75% straight out and it was approved - pays to ask directly.

for me there are 2 reasons, the first being how many PVRs people I know get through, paying £200 every few years as they get slow or break, this balances out the sky cost to me when on a good discount. Also regarding Kodi I don't mind paying for content. I class it the same as downloading films or music for free, the people creating the content should get paid for it otherwise eventually they just won't bother, then what will you watch for free.

I got everything free for 12 months by saying the only thing that would bring me back to sky is if you gave it to me free. He said okay then!

it's been posted a few times before but still good to remind folks. I left them for 48hrs then came back with this deal. £9.50 a month for a year and £100 credit on my account

I find it hard to believe they would provide you with a service without you paying anything at all but well done if they really did.

When you cancel do you keep all of the equipment including sky box and any recordings? And then when you take out sky again do they just connect you back on their end and all of your equipment works as it did before?
Thanks

Keep the equipment and recordings, when we left we couldn't view the recordings though, when we reconnected they could be viewed again.
