If you’ve been itching to try out Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, we’ve got a special gift for you because ‘Tis the Season! From 15th December through to 20th December, you can download and play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, with access to all three game modes.

https://c8.staticflickr.com/1/504/31600937735_6048156136_b.jpg

That means you can engage with the storyline in the campaign with “Rising Threat” and “Black Sky,” the first two levels of the game. Plus, you can jump into multiplayer with friends and foes (Level Cap of 15), and try to hold your own against the undead in a zombie infested 1980’s amusement park (Level Cap of 3).

What’s even better is that if you purchase the game, your progress and experience will carry over. You can find all the details below, so get set to enjoy Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

How to participate

To access the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare free trial, go to PlayStation Store and search “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Free Trial.” You will be redirected to the free trial product page. You can also access the trial on the Infinite Warfare game page under the “Demos” category.

Best thing to do is... release MW REMASTERED as a stand alone game for £19.99. Sell a shed load, cancel next years game. Take a year out and then release a new non futuristic game in 2018

Overwatch is a new multiplayer only ip with a multi year development plan so having a free weekend periodically to entice new people is an obvious thing to do.

An huge established yearly IP like COD having 5 days free to play all games modes a month after release? That's unheard of.

I like this game, I only paid £19.85 so maybe thats why i enjoy it more. It was frustrating at first because I was the noob in the game but picked it up easily enough in about 2 days. MP is fun and for the first time i am actually enjoying Zombies. I will get started on the campaign when i have finished the GTAV campaign.

I have the Legacy edition and even if this is free, it's still too much. The game is dreadful. All I have played since I bought it is MWR. Don't waste the bandwidth, folks. There are plenty better uses of your time, like driving nails through your hands etc.

Yeah I completely agree, I was referring more to the franchise as a whole. I really love World at War, it was easily one of the best multiplayer CODs I've played. Its just a shame that they keep doing all these future sci-fi versions. Hopefully they'll look at Battlefield 1's sales and see that there is still an audience who want a more grounded (NO jetpacks!) world war experience. Bolt action rifles for the win!

This is for both PS4 and XBox One.
PS4 users will require a Playstation Plus subscription while XBox users will require XBOX Live Gold.

Also this is the important part before you download the 60GB trial:
All three modes are present: the campaign's first two missions, multiplayer with a level cap of 15, and Zombies in Spaceland with a level cap of 3.

Bought IW, played it for 3 days (gave it every possible chance) and returned to BO3 (which is infinitely better ).

I wouldn't waste your time downloading this junk.
neilanderton1
13 Dec 16 #65
I mean, next years COD might just be in contemporary settings and a return to the roots of Modern Warfare, but it would be total coincidence rather than learning from the lukewarm reception of this years entry.

Who knows, maybe they got the message early this year when the IW trailer was disliked to hell and back. That might be enough time to switch gears on whatever COD they had lined up for next year.
PraiseIsGone
13 Dec 16 1 #64
It's not, and Infinite Warfare isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be either. It's all just opinions. I've had a lot of fun with COD this year, and I struggled to get into BO3, which most people would say is the better game. Again, opinions.

I think it's a good idea for games to have these trial periods. This game got some incredibly bad press before release and it definitely suffered as a result.

I've played the game since release and although it's not the best call of duty ever, it's not "that" bad. And the price has dropped to a more reasonable price in the last few weeks.

I actually love the campaign and hope to carry on and finish it

12 Dec 16 #60
Guessing this doesn't include MW Remastered?
I'd happily play this a bit over the weekend, but to download the game just to trial it, would take me a day on my connection, so by the time I get around to downloading it and finding time to play it I'll probably miss the free period.

Overwatch was the most hyped new ip in years with great marketing. Regarding free play time, EA do it before release as a selling point for Access, although that is a bit different as it's a service and betas are pretty much glorified demos but it is a new thing for COD. It is true, It's physical sales are down on BO2, but there is bad and there is COD bad. They may be trying different sales techniques but if it's not one of the top sellers of the year I'll be surprised. It will be interesting to see how much it has sold digitally.

What people have got to remember is, yes sales are down but 5-8 years ago you didn't have micro-transactions Ect that is what makes it money up. pokemon go is rumoured to be making £1 Million a day from micro transaction. so think how much Activision are making from it.

oUkTuRkEyIII to Horzey
12 Dec 16 #36
Well Infinity Ward or Sledgehammer are not the mighty, Treyarch are and they are still producing great games. Black Op 1,2 & 3 are all great games made by them and don't even get me started on how good World at War. I think what killed it was 3 developers making games every 2 years.

You can bet your last pound that MWR will become available on the stores. Maybe even a retail release at a push.

Agree with comments on here. This year's COD is awful. While Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 are brilliant. Both very accessible even for new players. IW - maps are utterly bland. Okay, it takes time to get good but the will is simply too much to sustain. Hated it and traded before price dropped.

Bit late to really learn from this year. Next years COD will have already been in development for over two years. That's the problem with annual releases of big games like this, if you mess up on one entry you can't really do good on it until several entries later.

That's why Ubisoft resorted to skipping out this year with Assassin's Creed, because whatever was planned for this year has been stripped back down again and built anew for next year. But given the short timeframe, I can't see even next years entry truly learning from the mistakes that led to the series decline. Gonna be at least AC 2018 before we see things truly change in order to renew interest and boost sales. Same goes for COD.

PlayStation Plus is required for multiplayer and Zombies in Spaceland. Please note that the trial is the full game with restricted access, and you will need around 60 GB to download the full experience.

If you decide to purchase the full game, you will not need to download Infinite Warfare again. Availability for the Infinite Warfare trial will vary by territory. Please check your territory’s first party store for availability information.
